(Damaged) FOR SALE: Vintage 8-Track of Golden Graffiti Greats on Music Productions Corp. / Tape Distributors of Vancouver, B.C. (Cat# 5000-8). This is a rare, independently-distributed Canadian compilation of original early rock-and-roll recordings - NOT a major-label release. Track Listing: P1: He Will Break Your Heart (Jerry Butler) / Nadine (Chuck Berry) / A Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On (Little Richard) / You Belong to Me (Duprees) / Bo Diddley (Bo Diddley Begin.) P2: Bo Diddley (Concl.) / Harlem Shuffle (Bob & Earl) / Along Comes Mary (Association) / Johnny Get Angry (Joanie Sommers) / Rhythm of the Rain (Cascades) P3: Maybelline (Chuck Berry) / Suspicion (Terry Stafford) / Western Movies (Olympics) / Endless Sleep (Jody Reynolds) / Duke of Earl (Gene Chandler) P4: Vehicle (Ides of March) / My Special Angel (Vogues) / Sixteen Candles (Crests) / Raindrops (Dee Clark) The track listing is packed with genuine classics: Chuck Berry's Nadine and Maybelline, Bo Diddley, Jerry Butler's He Will Break Your Heart, Duke of Earl by Gene Chandler, Along Comes Mary by the Association, Rhythm of the Rain, Sixteen Candles, and more. These are original recordings, not re-recordings. What makes this particularly interesting to collectors: it was manufactured and distributed by a small Vancouver-based independent operation, not a major label. These regional Canadian independents had limited pressing runs and did not survive into the digital era - making their releases genuinely scarce. You won't find this at every vintage store. The 'Golden Graffiti' name with its hot-rod car artwork is a clear nod to the American Graffiti nostalgia wave of the early-to-mid 1970s. Cartridge shows heavy age wear and yellowing typical of indie pressings of this era. Label is aged but intact with full track listing visible. Tape is cut. Untested. Rare Canadian independent pressing from Vancouver - limited original distribution. Sold as-is. Local pickup Oakville area or shipped. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ • All tapes are sold as UNTESTED VINTAGE ELECTRONICS unless noted otherwise.
