Relive the dawn of the mobile web with this Ricochet Wireless AirCard. Before LTE, 5G, or even widespread Wi-Fi, the Ricochet network was the gold standard for "always-on" wireless data in the late 90s and early 2000s. This is a fantastic piece of tech memorabilia for collectors of vintage computing or networking gear. Selling for $50 (OBO) Sold as-is due to age (untested). Product Details: Model: Ricochet GS / Wireless Modem (PCMCIA Card) Era: Circa 1999–2001 Functionality: Sold as a collectible/display piece only. The Ricochet network is no longer active, so this cannot be used for modern internet access. Why buy this? Perfect for a "vintage tech" shelf display. A great conversation starter about the "dot-com" boom and bust. A rare find for those documenting the evolution of mobile telecommunications. -------- The Ricochet network used a unique mesh of "poletop" radios on streetlights that were dismantled years ago. It’s essentially a very cool-looking museum piece!
